1966 c10 292 original photos
Anyone have a photo or two of an original c10 with 292 option? I'd like to see the engine color, air cleaner valve cover etc. the way they looked from the factory...

Stock OG paint valve cover
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...S/IMG_6158.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...S/IMG_6157.jpg When you ordered Power Brakes you then would get the Oil Bath air cleaner http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...%20K20/062.jpg http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...%20K20/061.jpg 1963 used different air cleaners than 64-66 but the reason was the same, to give you more room for the brake booster. |

The factory wasn't too keen on getting that sticker on the valve cover on straight were they...

Re: 1966 c10 292 original photos
Reviving an old thread. I am getting ready to swap in a 292 to my '65 C20. I have already converted to power disc, and I was thinking that the air cleaner assemblies I have on-hand won't work because of the booster. But it appears the oil bath air cleaner does fit. I was looking for the other style that uses the big paper element that has the element more towards the passenger side of the engine bay. So, will the oil bath definitely work with the power brakes and dual master cylinder from an '81 C20? The oil bath photo above looks like it might clear the dual MC, but then again it might not.
