newest problem with steering parts

I'm trying to get the drag link on my 66. The idler arm side the link wont go up far enough with just the nut pushing it up. Do I need a spacer between the nut and the arm? And on the pitman arm the threaded part is spinning when I try to tighten it. Is there a way to get the drag link tight on the threaded post so it won't spin?

Here is a pic of the gap between the idler arm and draglink. The nut is all the way tightened down.

Found out the gap is covered by the boot which is on the wrong end of the arm DUH! lol

I found a rubber grommet that I cut in half and forced on the idler arm stud. Nice and tight.
