F/S: NOS GM tailgate band
 

I have a NOS GM tailgate band that had never been opened untill I took these pics. It has not been completely opened, I only peeled back the plastic to show the letters that have the chrome coming off. The letters are chrome plated plastic. Part# 3955316. $400.00 plus shipping

They are easily removed. You could add a set of new chrome repo letters

It has been my observation nos trim that is complete in excellent condition brings double the repop cost. A guality woodgrain repop can be purchased on avg 165 so nos one if excellent would be 320. However I would have to replace the letters at a reopop cost of 55. So 320 - 55 = 265. So I am offering $265 + ride, if that would be acceptable. Are there any other blemishes besides the letters. There is no set price for any of this stuff. I was the one on here who for years insisted anything N.O.S. is worth "no less than" double the cost of it's reproduction when others weren't sure. You want factors? You can buy a repop in the next 5 minutes. Now go find another N.O.S. tailgate band.

I've used a couple of these later GM bands in the past and the letters were mint! The first thing I did was remove the plastic letters and mounted used chrome letters. Plenty of ragged out tailgate bands with good letter chrome yet. This is a great piece.
