No power to starter wire

I am putting my truck back together from doing a complete frame off. This motor was rebuilt and the starter worked fine before,I have no power at the key and no power at the purple wire on the starter.I can jump the starter with a screwdriver and it will turn over but I get nothing when I turn the key and also no power at the starter . Any ideas ? thanks

Whew...where to start (no pun intended). Is your alternator wire connected? is your voltage regulator connected? is your horn relay connected? How far have you gotten on your restoration wiring-wise?

Where to start,Ha Ha ,I have everything wired, I have an MSD box , coil and distributor. These all worked fine before OzrkHippie said to check my fusible link, but I am not sure I know where that is.:D :D

Check the terminal block on the pass fender. The wires there should be tied together. Both lugs should measure +12V.
Check the "bat" wire on the back of the alt. Also +12V.
The fusible link, I think, is in the wire between the battery (+) and the terminal block on the pass fender.
