Wiring issue

So i am finishing up my ls1 swap and i tried to start it for the first time and i have a small wiring issue with my fuel pump. For some reason my fuel pump turns on when i turn on my headlights. Does anyone have any suggestions where i should look first? Did i hook up my cranking signal wire to the wrong wire on the ignition switch? thanks

Re: Wiring issue

Did you put the signal wire for the fuel pump to the headlight relay instead of its fuel pump relay?

Re: Wiring issue

i used Current performance's fuse box and put the signal wire to the ignition. I ran that wire to the purple ON wire on the ignition switch. Im pretty sure i have this on the wrong wire and it needs to go to the pink START wire on the ignition switch. Does this sound correct?

Re: Wiring issue

Yeah bud.. the pink/black wire will go to your ignition wire
(Solid pink 10AWG) that used to go to your distributor (assuming its an 80's truck you're doing don't know about earlier models.) and the grey wire will go directly to your fuel pump. its a two wire hook up just to start and run the engine.. but you need to connect the TCC wire before you try to move it under its own power.
