97 3500 Seat conversion
 

Greeting all. As with most trucks that are geting old it's kind of hard to get new seats. All the ones that I have seen have been torn to pieces or somebody did a conversion with a Pontiac.
What I'm looking for is yes the original seats would be great (Grey/Pewter electric Drivers and manual Pass leather) I would like to convert the pass side to power if possible but later for that one. I seen good looking ones for a 99-03 I think and about $700 cheaper. Has anybody done any swapping out of these or like seats???? Thanks guys as always I appreciate you input.

Personally I have not seen anyone do the seat swap of the 99 up seats to these years. You would definitely have to add some floo bracing on where you mount the seats.

Around here you can still find decent factory seats, although the cloth style is normally better than the leather. The sun tends to kill the leather down here quicker.

I have seen decent seats go any where from $100 for the front seat (bench or buckets) to few hundred for a crewcab set.

I kind of like the leather better for some strange reason. They have dried up over here and I can get the cloth but the leather's for the most part have evaperated from here. I can get them BUT they just as tore up as mine.
I figure if I have to spend $600-$1000 Im going to get the best that I can know what I mean.
If I knew anybody over here that had a newer truck I would crawl under it for specs on the mounting but I dont know anybody, I guess I will have to go to a junk yard and measure. If I find a right conversion I will pass it on guys.
