front brake line setup help
im tryin to figure out how the two lines coming from the master cylinder connect to the rest of the front brake lines. i saw in the lmc catalog their connected by a TEE fitting but theres two lines from the MC, one from the rear brakes, one from drivers side and one from passenger side. i dont see how a tee would help

Re: front brake line setup help
Don't the lines run to each front brake hose (the two front brake lines off the master cylinder), the rear line runs back to a hose to the tee fitting @ the rear axle, with lines running to each rear brake. If there's a trailer brake setup plumbed into the brake line @ the master cylinder, that would be the only tee fitting under the hood. Put up a photo, and remove all speculation.

Re: front brake line setup help
Depends on the yr of your truck. For the most part the rear brakes were plumb to the rear axel with one line then into a tee for ea wheel.
The fronts line on earlier trucks ( Don't know the yr it changed ) had separate lines for ea wheel right from the proportioning valve or MC to ea wheel. I know in 72 it was one line down to a tee inside the frame rail, then to ea wheel. If yours was originaly 2 separate lines then keep it the same. Gary |

1.Buy a copy of the factory assembly manual for 67-72 trucks. It will save you a great deal of time and money. 2. never, ever buy anything from LMC Here's the routing diagram from the factory manual for your front brake lines. |
Re: front brake line setup help
Yep... what Fitz said. Some lines go inside the frame and some run outside the frame depending on year and application.
