Who likes shop trucks???? and Harleys?
5 Attachment(s)
Though I don't have a Harley (and no intentions of getting one) but I thought this 68' longie would make the perfect candidate for a HD shop truck, I will probably be changing the wheels later to chrome steelies with wide 60' series tires to give it the more manly "era correct" look with a little lowered stance.:metal:
As always opinions are welcome. :chevy: |

Send it over,Rene. I play both sides on this deal. My bike's black, too. Here I've been so proud of my era correct Harley Davidson decal on the slider I've moved from one truck to another for 30 some years. It's on my '72 K2500 now after I retired the '71 Custom Camper in '04

That guy has the weathered lettering down. Hand painted signage has the tendency to sun fade off long before the pint it is one goes.
Not to HOG your limelight (as if),but here's Che-vy and Har-ley together going down I-70. My son Sam took my picture when he was just a little squirt. Too bad I messed it up trying to resize. Honey,I shrunk the picture! (takes less space from your thread) |
Re: Who likes shop trucks???? and Harleys?
I love the look of all these trucks, but I think it would be more appropriate to call them "tribute" trucks as opposed to "shop" trucks. Most shop trucks actually have a shop name on them. Often made up, but making it look like a truck that actually has done the job, is still doing the job, and and most important, getting the shop name out so people will call the phone number on the side of the truck. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a hater, I would dig any one of these trucks, and in fact I have almost the exact copy of the black one not including the art work.:metal:

"I love the look of all these trucks, but I think it would be more appropriate to call them "tribute" trucks as opposed to "shop" trucks." "Most shop trucks actually have a shop name on them. I totally agree tribute or theme truck is more fitting description for these trucks with just brand advertising... It would be cool to see a fictitious shop name maybe with the home town and phone number or use the business info from a popular 1960'/ 70's shop. |
