Help! Raising a flip kit.

So here it is. I'm lookin @ lift shackles to bring the rear up some. LOL. Right now the rear is totally bottomed out on the shocks so it may even fall a bit lower if I were to remove them for drop shocks. I have about an inch from the rear axle to frame. Bump stops are totally removed. No c-notch. So far I hear lift shackles could give me about an 1" and the other option possibly new or heavier leafs. Not sure how much that could raise it but I'm sure my leafs are pretty worn since the previous owner used the Blazer for towing. BTW it's a 5-6" flip kit from western chassis. :smoke:

Oh yea and the front has 2.5 spindles & 2" drop springs. Surprisingly no wheel rub and still good suspension travel. I'd like to raise the rear enough to "match" the distance of the front tire to wheel well. I realize the rear fender comes down a little further than the front so it would have a bit of a rake to it. I will be getting new black tires but with them white walls it's more noticeable.

very common with a blazer. Yep you can buy a 1" shorter shackle that will give you a little bit of lift, other than that you will need air shocks, helper bags (or aol). Dig the blazer!!

Blazer uses a shorter front hanger I think.

I tryed air shocks on my blazer and didn,t work, the angle was too steep, wouldn,t push up, it tryed to push sideways almost.

My Blazer was the same way. What I did was flip the shackle hanger upside down and with that had to go to 56" springs. It raised it an 1 1/2 at least. I haven't driven it yet but in theory it should ride and work way better than stock configuration

You might could try swapping in some truck leaves and if that dosent do it add a couple more leaves to the pack. You cold also get a spring shop to make you an arched add a leaf to put in your existing spring pack or just take them the springs you have and see if they can re arch them. Im sure you could find a spring shop in CA somewhere. We have one here in memphis. Back in the day spring shops were a cheap mans 4wd lift kit.
