Master Cylinder ID
This is my MC and it's leaking - the truck is a '66, but I think this is a MC from an earlier model, could be to do with it being RHD, I don't know.
http://www.sidewayscycles.com/i/00/16/04.jpg I'm happy with the brakes, they work fine (apart from one of the rears sticking on when I parked on a slope and the hand brake being pretty much useless!) If I just do a straight swap for a new MC, what year should I be looking for? Cheers! |
Re: Master Cylinder ID
I believe 60-62 unit. 1 brake, 1 hydraulic clutch.

Re: Master Cylinder ID
Thanks. The unit actually looks pretty solid, so I think I'll try to track down the leak first. Anyone know if these things are prone to fluid loss at all?

Re: Master Cylinder ID
Sometimes the fluid can bypass the cylinder and leak back into the reservoir. Its a dual mc that works both clutch and brakes. They are still available from most venders.
Any more pics of that right side drive truck |
