cooling fan help
looking for pics of your fan shroud and fan setups. i converted my suburban over to a serp setup off of a 97 chevy truck. the fan blade sits in the shroud to the point where the back of the blades are flush with the shroud. i know everyone says that the fan has to be 1/2 in 1/2 out but i looked at my 2000and 2004 gmc yukons and they sit the same way. any ideas?

Re: cooling fan help
Mine was the same way until I swapped over to electric fans.

Re: cooling fan help
did you have any cooling issures with it being that way?

Re: cooling fan help
Nothing it ran great for the two years that I had it installed. The reason why I went to electric is that I found it difficult to time the engine with the setup on the front of the motor hiding the timing marks. This is what mine looks like now.

Re: cooling fan help
Looks like a Volvo dual fan setup to me. Nice.

Re: cooling fan help
It is actually from a Windstar.

Re: cooling fan help
Ah, OK. That larger secondary motor reminds me of the big ole Volvo fans.

Re: cooling fan help
My '86 is fully in. Fan clutch is about 1-1/2" from the radiator.
