My 67 Fleet

Always loved these old trucks and about seven months ago I was able to get my hands on one. At the time I was 23yrs old and had VERY little experience with any type of auto work. Thankfully I have a good head on my shoulders and can take **** apart and put it back together along with other "good" qualities. Also, coming here from time to time asking questions which all of you guys gratefully answered.

It was posted as a 67 Fleet with a 350.. but it did not run.. Another guy my age bought it from his uncle and said there weren't many issues with it. I took it from him for what I thought was a steal at just over three grand. Once I got it running I stripped it down and began cleaning it up. I plan to have a more experienced rebuild in the future, but for this being completely my hands..no one else.. I am proud. :metal:

Completion: Incomplete.

Changed the fuel pump, messed with the carb a bit.. got it running.

Now that it was running.. I decided to strip it down! so lets begin.

Very nice project you have going. You have already done a bunch of really hard work. Looking forward to following along.

Truck looks real good. How hard was it changing the floor?

For the front I cut just before the firewall which left a lip for the front to rest on the new floor. For the rear of the cab I sanded to the spot welds and drilled them out. Now only four bolts under the gas tank hold the floor in. The cab corners are spot welded to the floor brace.. this turned out to be the hardest part of the whole thing. I was replacing the corners anyway so a reciprocating saw and angle grinder did the trick.

Much easier than I anticipated because I was actually going to seek out help at first.
