lowering parts for a leaf spring truck
Where is a good place to get lowering blocks or a flip kit for a 1972 leaf spring truck. Thanks

This is what I used. Very happy with it. |

I have that same kit waiting for me to find the time to throw onto my '69 short step with leaves.

Re: lowering parts for a leaf spring truck
I am glad others here are wondering this. My 72 is a short bed with leafs, plus the heavy duty spring option. Lets just say that it looks like a beetle on roller skates.
Sooo I took out the bottom leaf, which lowered it about 5/8 inch,(and a geat ride to boot, especially if you are not going to haul anything) then I used a 2 inch shackles. This looks very nice, but when it came time to put my wood bed in there were clearance issues, so back to the stock shackles. The summit flip kit sounds good for a LOW approach. |
Re: lowering parts for a leaf spring truck
With original worn out springs probably 8", with newer leafs 6"
