72 gmc 3500 car hauler bagged

just thinking out loud here... no plans to do this,,,, yet...

its got the leaf springs and overload springs right now but I was thinking what would it take to bag at least the rear of the truck so I could just drive up on the back with no ramps . just let the air out, tail hits the ground and done. any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I'm not sure, but man!! what a great idea!! I am already tired of toting ramps around when I go to pick up a car. Maybe go to the local big rig scrap yard and pick up some stuff(semi truck air bags, mounts, lines, compressor, etc.) Probably will need to notch out the rear frame to get the amount of travel needed, and reinforce, or make up some new crossmembers for added support...

A lot of good info. there. It looks like a 4 link and bags would be the way to go....sounds like it may be pricey though, unless you have the stuff laying around
sorry Pinturbo, didn't mean to hijack your thread...I think it is very doable

that's definitely along the lines of what I was thinking....with the length of the dove tail it could drop more than what he got on the crawler... but I do think it would require some tub above the deck due to tire clearance... id be ok with that...thanks all...
