my sometimers kicked in again. HEI question
Ok on my 67, as part of the restoration process I am getting rid of the 250 that is no good and replacing it with my slightly modified 350 with an internal alternator and an HEI. Now I have the alternator all wired up but I'm having a brain fart as to what to do with the HEI distributor. Is there a certain wiring process or do I just use the wire that was on the coil on the 250?

Re: my sometimers kicked in again. HEI question
Don't use the old coil wire, it only supplies about 9 volts which can burn the HEI module up. Instead, run a wire from IGN UNFUSED on the fuse block, to the battery terminal on the HEI. That's all you have to do! :)

Re: my sometimers kicked in again. HEI question
Great thank you! You think that coil wire can be used for power for an electric choke?

Re: my sometimers kicked in again. HEI question
You do not have to go all the way inside the truck to rewire, just trace back the resistor wire to the bulkhead and replace it there.
