To people with Longtubes.

Do your guys' headers bash your floorboards like mine do? I can really feel them sometimes when I have my foot pretty deep into the throttle on a crappy road.

Just wondering if I was the only one.

I have longtubes, I think they are Dynomax. They clear the floor but hit the frame on the passenger side. Nothing too extreme, just enough to be annoying. Sometime when I get ambitious I thought I would pull the header and grind a little on the lower frame rail to get clearance.

Well... I dont think mine are hitting the actual floorboards, but I can feel some definite feedback from them.

What kind are you running? I'm running Summit headers and have no problems with them. As soon as I can afford it I am going to get some Hooker Super Comp coated ones.

Hey Rolf,
I don't understand what you're saying..I have long tubes and they never move..they're connected to the engine...the only way it's gonna move, is if you have bad cab mounts or bad engine mounts...

I've got Hooker Comps and as far as I know mine don't move or touch anything around them.......

What im kinda trying to say is that I can feel some vibration through the floorboards from something, maybe its not the headers. They are Thorley Tri Y headers. Im not sure if the previous owner went through and replaced EVERYTHING with polyurithane.

Maybe the feedback isnt as bad as im making it out to be, but sometimes I can feel it pretty good.

Had Hooker Comps on mine as well...no problems.

poly bushings will cause you to feel alot more than rubber bushings. so if all you've ever had is rubber, i'd say that's probably what you're feeling.

I have a weird sound come from under my drivers seat when I make slow right turns. Not all the time, but every once in awhile. It feels like a loose crossmmber or something, a slight bump on the floor board, but all bolts are tight. I wonder if its a rivet or something. I really need to inspect it more.

Eddie, check the tranny mounts, mine did that.
