'81 C30 crew can dually with factory OD???

I'm looking at a sweet bb c30 not far from me to haul my old tractors around. I haven't seen it yet in person, but the owner swears there's some sort of OD in it from the factory. He says it's not a 700r4, but I'm at a complete loss as to what it could be. Can y'all help me?

I seriously doubt it is stock. Almost 100% sure.. 700r4 or 200-4r. Unless it is aftermarket gear vendor type unit.

There wasn't a factory overdrive tranny offered in that vintage of truck until the 4L80 was introduced. There could be a small possibility that an aftermarket auxiliary overdrive unit was installed by the dealer (gearvenders/warn? etc.) but I doubt it.
