need help getting mixed answers. need correct part # exhaust manifold stud
 

Wanting a GM original piece to replace all my exhaust manifold studs on my 87 silverado 4x4 350.

Those are the specs and some dealers have said part # 15549352 is correct others have gave several different part numbers none quiet look like the originals.

I have no problem with it being slightly different but when I ebay 15549352 on the ones that let you plug in what year and makes etc your vehicle is it says it is not compatible with an 1987 silver ado 4x4 350....

no clue what the correct original part is then!? can anyone for sure give me a correct part #? Not wanting to go with dorman no other reason other than I have picky as hell with this truck not gonna lie.

ttt for someone who has access or a manual that can for sure tell the correct part number. One dealer even said left side shows different part # than right side?

all my old studs look identical. want to order the right thing as they're about $8 a piece on ebay etc

One side had a heat riser on the older trucks. Those studs would be 2" or so longer. Are yours broken? I'd try a muffler shop if a concours correct restoration isn't what you're going for.

All mine are the same length and i know all the pieces are original.

To be absolutely sure, you'd have to provide the truck's series (i.e. 10,20,30 - 1500,2500,3500) and type of emissions package (H5D,FED, Calif, etc.)

But if your truck is 3/4 or 1 ton with a federal (not California) or heavy duty emissions package, it's a good bet that:

RH studs are 14088834 & the LH are 12337934.

truck is a v10 half ton pickup originally bought and still in SC so doubt it has cali emissions. engine is a 5.7 350.

the above parts are for a 3.4 and 1 ton and incorrect for mine right?


did some research on nalleychevolet.com and it says 15549352 and 88891746 are the stud so I'm confused still?

both of these are available on ebay but some sites have where you plug in your vehicle to see if it's compatible both studs fail and says will not fit my truck when I do that.

really confused.

I just put '87 exhaust manifolds on my '86 Suburban 1/2 ton. I know you said no Dorman but that is what I used and very happy. They were very close to the original looking studs, and used the same ones on both sides. I had previously ordered some from the Walker catalog and they looked good but the threads must have been metric because they would not fit my manifolds. I got the Dorman ones from Summit (RNB-03110). The donuts from Autozone 60718. Hope this helps.
