Bagged c2500 questions
I've got a '99 crew short bed 3/4 ton. So it's an OBS. It's already been lowered and converted to 5 lug. My plan is to go back to 8 lug and bag it for more comfort and adjustability for towing. I plan to use drop spindles and OEM arms up front while riding on stock rollers. My question for those that have played with this set up is will it even go low enough to create a tie rod problem? If so, does the frame need to be notched? I think I've got this figured out but if there is anything else you can help me with let me know! Thanks

Re: Bagged c2500 questions
Only time the chassis needs to be notched for the tie rod ends is if your trying to lay it on the ground. If your just putting air bags for the ride, I would just make a stop to where if you deflaited the bags it would stop before the tie rod end would hit the chassis.
Also you don't need drop spindles unless your trying to lay it out, you can use a stock spindle it just will not sit flat on the ground. |
