Steering Wheel Swap

Hi guy, just picked up a 1969 Chevy C-10 and need to swap steering wheels as the 17 is too big for my gut. I got a 1993 Silverado wheel off eBay and put it on fine, however cannot figure out how to connect horn. The truck supposedly has a CPP tilt column, but I do not see how to connect the horn wire to the setup. Once I pull the wheel and expose the plastic pieces there is a brass button that controls the horn.

Anyone that has done this please help as to what kit or adapter setup I need to get. Been searching but cannot find what I am needing.

Thanks, Jeff

Replace the brass horn contact with one of these. Attach the wire to the spade in the horn cap.

Thanks for the reply. My steering wheel came with one of those, just dont see how to connect it to the steering column. The horn ring is flat with no plastic tab to twist plug the wire into. I found a couple of pictures to help.

Mine looks simular to the first picture once apart. However, I don't have the green plactic piece with nipple, mine is just flat, or the lockplate.

Some modification to the wire is required. The horn contact we are dealing with is the one in the turn signal canceling cam. If it is the original GM tilt cam it can be modified as follows.
Pull the contact pin, red collar and spring out. You should see what is shown in the top picture below. Cut the spade connector off the new wire, remove the plastic sleeve with the retaining tabs, replace it with the red ring, attach a new spade connector and insert the modified wire into the cancelling cam until the red collar snaps into place. The pictures below show the process.
