lots of axle wrap/ wheel hop

My 1985 gmc c1500 short bed has large amounts of axle wrap and I haven't put my posi in it yet. Was wonder if anyone has fixed the same issue. It is a lot better since I did an axle flip. Would like to do 4 link but it's a little to much money. Thinking of doing a ladder bar or something like that.

You didn't pull a leaf, did you?

How about some slappers? Or better yet, Cal Tracs.

First make sure your springs and bushings are in good shape, no broken leafs, no squashed out bushings. Look real close where the center bolt is, that's where one or more will be broken and sometimes its hard to see.

I have a 82 with multi leaf ( I think 5 or 6 ) . I do not get any axle wrap with the stock set up. If you could get at least a five leaf spring and put under there it may solve your problem with out putting some kind of traction device. It may be a lesser expensive way to go. If you are already flipped the traction devise will hang pretty low.

I think it is a 4 or 5 leaf pack.

I have the same problem but with 39.5 tall tires. I hope my new shocks will help. The leaves are all good and new poly bushings. Otherwise it's ladder bars!!
