really stupid radio antenna question

Has there ever been a windshield with the radio antenna made into it like the square bodies available for the gmt400 trucks? Reason being is I run a hidden antenna on my 92 sub and it about won't pick up stations if I am sitting in the station's parking lot. I know, I know I asked for it when I shaved the one off the fender. LOL

Don't know about windshields with antennas in them but you could make one out of wire that goes into the dashboard and would obviously be hidden.

Thanks speedy, the one I have is an off the shelf unit sitting in the dash and like I said it won't pick up squat. I hadn't thought to make up a wire and maybe run it through the dash and up the windshield pillar under the interior trim like lots of home stereo systems use.

You could also install an electric antenna, but these are powered when you turn the head unit or radio ON.

But guess what? I found some antennas you may want to look at (Crutchfield):

I switched to fiberglass fenders and bedsides. I had one of the ones that sticks on the inside of the windshield, it sucked, tried a factory one on the frame rail, it sucked, currently have one of the short flexible ones mounted on the spring hanger, it also sucks albeit a little less than the others.

I had the AutoLoc hidden antenna on my old '93 C-1500, but it didn't get the greatest reception either. If I recall correctly, I once read where some folks had mentioned mounting a factory one in the wiper cowl/firewall area or inner fender lip (under hood).
