gauge cluster problem
My 89 gmc gauge cluster lights are out how hard is it to replace the bulbs

If many are out, you can remove plastic frame around cluster, remove screws holding gauge cluster, lower steering wheel, and pull out . The gauge cluster is only plugged in at rear, just pull out. ( you will see after removing ) Put cluster , face down & start removing screws, each board- layer at a time. Look for a couple little harness connections between boards. Eventually you will have all bulbs exposed. ( I did it & it wasn't tough to do ) Bulbs are at auto part stores... maybe have to go to a couple stores to get all the bulbs. ( they only stock a few per store) |

If all the lights are out, it sounds like a connection problem. Also check the Instrument Panel Dimmer Switch, I had to replace mine.
