Which oil pan gasket do I need?
2 Attachment(s)
I yanked out my leaking oil pan this weekend. I've been to a few local auto part stores and can't find a replacement that fits. I have a Chevy 350 and I thought it was an 86. But the Fel Pro gasket for this was too deep in the curve on the tranny side of the gasket.
My dipstick hole is on the passenger side. Any way I confirm what size gasket I need w/out knowing exactly what year the engine is? |
Re: Which oil pan gasket do I need?
Get the Fel Pro one piece oil pan gasket, you'll be glad you did. 1985 and older uses Fel Pro Part # : OS34510T for $26, and 86 and up use Fel Pro Part # : OS34500R for $27 at Oreilly's.
Get the serial # off the front passenger side head (on the block in front of the head) and decode it. Or give me the # and I'll decode it for you. |

Re: Which oil pan gasket do I need?
Thanks! How did you decipher the DDM? Guys I bought it from told me it was a 350 so I guess I'm the chump.

Re: Which oil pan gasket do I need?
You're not the chump! The people misrepresenting what they had are the chumps for assuming, which makes them asses.
