2wd lift kit?
I know I know, lifting a 2 wheel drive. Trucks an 05 chevy silverado 1500 2wd ECSB. Main reason for wanting to lift is clearance. Truck sees a few pastures but at stock height I often scrape it just pulling in to driveways. Truck never tows but is daily driver. Could i put a 2 inch coil spacer in the front and 1 inch rear block without sacrificing drivability? If so what is a good brand to go with?

I think you'll be fine.

The coil spacer in the front will make the ride a little more harsh.
A spindle lift in the front would ride like factory. |

Here's my 06 with a spindle lift and 2 inch blocks. I kept it like that for a month, then took it all off and put a drop shackle on the rear end. You might check, I think some ECSB trucks have torsion bars, which means you can adjust the height pretty easily by tightening the bolts, or getting different keys.

The best way for you to achieve a mild lift and gain more clearance while maintaining a decent ride would be to, run spindles (Fabtech / CST) + a decent shock like Bilstein. I personally would leave the rear alone but either a block or add-a-leaf would be ideal, again pair either option with a decent mono-tube shock. Spacers may be cheaper and they will successfully provide the lift you are looking for but unfortunately the ride is sacrificed. |
