Polishing the C50's 22.5 rims

Gottattooz paid me a visit today and polished all of my 22.5 Alcoa rims.
What a difference hard work makes! You can tell the amount of work is proportional to how dirty you get. What a guy!

His Dad Spyder hung out too and watched the exciting job of me drilling holes in 1/2" steel.

Worked on my shortened (10" shorter)front axle making spring plates to hold my reconditioned springs. Moved from 8 leafs to 3. Hopefully I can mount those shiny rims on my axle next week.

Yes in the middle of the last pic is crazy Gottattooz

Thanks again so much to Josh for all of the hard work.

looks awesome!
I got a little dirty after work as well, picked up a few wire wheels for the angle grinder and went to town on the under coat on my inner fender... one down one to go.

I can't wait to see that big truck on the road!

How do the wire wheels work on the undercoating? I have always used a propane torch and a putty knife.

Twisted wire wheel made short work of it... also distributed it all over my garage... I think I will be sweeping it up for a few days.

I think I will be doing the other fender outside...

I am a Diesel mechanic, but not for the Flying J. My dad was a fuel tanker driver for them, and those are his coveralls.
