dually tub trim whats under it
 
im about to buy a dually tub from a 78 crew but the guy is keeping the side trim including the fender pieces whats under it holes? pins for clips? taped on? has anyone deleted them successfully before?

Dually boxes are cut differently then the fleetside. Dually box wheel wells are cut bigger.

I believe what he is saying is about the trim. And yes there is holes underneath. On the bedsides you would need to weld the holes shut and on the dually fenders you could either use filler or fiberglass on those.

Yeah with the trim its gonna leave holes but they can be filled easy if you don't want to put trim back on it.

It ain't like the factory just bolted dually fenders on a regular bed - the wheel wells are cut a good bit bigger and a filler panel is needed between inside and outside bed skins. Can't just pull dually fenders off and add a piece of trim, it doesn't work that way.

thank you. i was talking about the alloy/chrome side trim im getting the complete tub just with out the shiney stuff and i could find no info on what i had to repair when he removed them
