and to think.. that alternator used to be the nicest looking thing on the engine! hahaha, sure makes ya realize how much it affects the overall look when everything else is dressed up! But it works for now until I find a deal on a nice chrome 1-wire alt or get around to painting it or somethin..

yeah, not completely decided yet on just a nice rebuilt (strengthened) th350, th400, or even go with a 700r4.. 700r4 is nice and all but waaay more expensive to setup and make equally as strong as a th350 or 400, and I'm 97% sure this will barely ever see any highway duty.. so the 700 doesn't really seem all that worth it since it'll just be a "perfect day cruiser." daily driver though i wouldn't think twice about the 700..

N2TRUX 08-17-2003 10:59 PM

Since all the trucks I have driven for the past few years have had OD transmissions, I really noticed the difference when I bought my 77. I still don't know what gears it has, but it seems like the rpm is up there a bit at highway speeds.

I say go for the 700. I don't think you will regret it, even if you don't drive it much...:D

i think i'll just go with a built th350 and 3.42 gears.. just a cruiser and can build a stronger one cheaper..
