Hidden step for 4x4
Hi, has anyone either made or purchased a good looking and good working hidden step/running board for a 67-72 4x4. I have not found a thread, or any aftermarket product that looks like it would work without modification. Hoping some one on this site has come up with something.

Here is what I use on mine, kind of expensive but works and is almost hidden when up. Not sure if you can get them anymore as the Kodiak site is no longer up and Summit says not available

Mmmmmmm been thinking about that except to hide it completely. I just have a 2 in lift but bigger tires so something like this would be great!

Re: Hidden step for 4x4
With 5 inches of lift and 35s, I have to kind of pull on the steering wheel to get in, and the passenger has a much harder time. This all gets a bit harder to do as I get older. I was hoping to find a fold away step that was hidden when not in use. They make such a thing in various designs ($$$$$$) and only for newer vehicles. Curious as to why no universal model.

Re: Hidden step for 4x4
hidden steps usually have a serious flaw in the winter, they freeze up when all the road stuff cakes on them, which makes them virtually useless when you really need them. I had a set on my 76 K20, and usually never could get them out after driving in the snow and slush for a day.
