99 Suburban C1500 Paint Code

Sticker in the glove box is there but unreadable. Just age I guess. Is there another way to get the exact paint code. I have the VIN, but I don't think that helps. A site online said U43 but other sites said something completely different. Not sure I can trust internet. Need pros like you guys.

Thanks.

A rough color (ie, "red", or "blue" or "green") would help -

You can get the original invoice for your truck through the GM Heritage Center Archive, which would include RPO content and pricing. It will cost you $50 though.

Here's the link, if you want to go that route:

http://www.gmmediaarchive.com/?page=3

Also - here is the generic info packet for 1999 Suburbans. You can scan through that and see if anything catches your eye.

https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...t-Suburban.pdf

I didn't see a "43U" on there (the numbers come first, then the letters; U indicating "upper" or "primary"; "L" indicating "lower" or "secondary" on a two tone).

Lastly - I've looked at several hundred thousand SPID labels. If you'd like to post a pic of what you have I might be able to make something of it.

I stand corrected! Now that I'm at work and on the GM parts catalog
43U is Emerald Green Metallic WA177B. Sorry for the incorrect information!
