They aren't stainless, they are chromed brass or steel for these years. I maybe be off on the brass and steel but I do know they weren't stainless... Nate

You're right,in one way. They are steel, but brass plate is a stage in the process of a proper chrome job, such as factory chrome. That's why factory chrome lasts eons longer than most aftermarket chrome.

Frank, not wanting to booger up your sale thread, but maybe the info will help others see the value here. Finding the chrome ones with a finish this nice is far tougher than with the stainless. I'd buy both sets right now if I wasn't this close (><) to buying a used work truck as soon as I find the right one. just don't know how much cash I'll need to that, yet. Those caps are nice!

No painted Chev right now. I sold a set of stainless this weekend and the buyer is going to powder coat them. I still have the above sets available.

Again no dents, no splits/cracks, and no pried edges. Hard to find this nice. These are the best of about 12 caps just arrived.

There are more stainless caps available and at lower prices, because they hold up better. Chrome caps split, pit, peal, rust and can't be straightened like SS. Blue bowties??? Spray them or brush them---it is only paint. See here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=455533
