Not very much, just installed the driver side door striker. It makes quite a difference

Charging my battery back up for the dually. Moved the house (5th wheel) on Thursday for the first time with it. Saturday the battery was stone dead discharged after sitting for one day. Have been having battery drain issues for the last month while she has been parked so going to have to do some electric gremlin hunting.

Installed an after market temperature gauge, replaced heater hoses that were spraying a fine mist through a couple of pin holes. Hoses looked like the factory originals. Replaced the lower hose while I was at it, looked old, top hose looks good.......for now. 3/4 installed a tach. So that's where Saturday went.

Started a stainless exhaust set-up for my buddy's 56 Nomad project (Morrison chassis, LS3/4l70e crate combo, Schott wheels). Cleaned (re-cleaned) the interior plastics to dye/paint today but cool temps & high humidity prevented progress. I also picked up 2 steel dually wheels @ a great price off c-list.

Should get my lower a-arms tomorrow & waiting on a tailgate handle relocator kit from Mar-K....

I was in a parking lot Sunday am & this clean square CC dually pulled in the Oreillys. I asked the guy some questions while checking out his truck since it's a rare occassion to see a clean CC in my area. As we're talking he starts asking a few questions & then tells me about "this guy w/a squarebody ranch" if I needed stuff.

I chuckled..... Yep... I know him.

I think I figured out what's wrong with the '87. One injector sprays a fine mist, the other sprays with a nice drip. Gas pools on one side but doesn't on the other.

It's been smelling rich and running pretty bad.

Got quite a lot done over the weekend. Installed most of my interior:
Rebuilt gauge cluster with new circuit board and added shift indicator.
Installed new dash pad.
Reassembled both doors with new locks and all new rubber and door panels
Installed new wing window latch on drivers door.
Replaced ignition tumbler and turn signal stalk.
Installed side steps.
Removed and painted inside of tailgate.
Replaced all rear fender bolts with stainless steel button head bolts.
Installed and wired up tail lights.
Installed new turn indicators on front fenders.
Installed drip rail moldings.
Reupholstered seat.
Installed new sun visors.
Installed new windshield washer cap and gas cap.
Painted/rebuilt kick panel vents.

I'm sure I have missed some items - I spent 20 hours out in my shop over the weekend, and my brain is getting a bit fuzzy. I'll try and get my build thread updated tonight with some pics of the weekend thrash.

I got two things done on my '82. First was install a much better grill. The one on the truck had seen better days. Now I just need to paint the headlight buckets to match the grill. I also installed a sport bumper. It came out a lot better than expected. The bumper is more tucked in which is the look I was after. Here are some pics of the stuff I got done.

Re: What did you get done 12/7/14

I finished my side-work (drywall, paint, trim), got paid, and picked my truck up from a mechanic-buddy.

While I would liked to do the work myself, I have family in town, kid's birthday, 2500 miles to drive (three 20-ton loads of freight to move over The Cascades), and I'm in the midst of a refinance, so aside from my moonlight construction work, I'm getting my house in shape for the appraisal.

So, I farmed out some work out to a buddy last week, and my truck now has an HEI and a rebuilt carb, new radiator, hoses, and a degreaseing, and we ditched the spark-control crap, as well as the a.i.r. pump and related junk.

A few days ago, I found time to install black and silver finned Autowerks sidecovers and gaskets, new valve cover gasket (still waiting on a the matching aftermarket valve cover), do a brake-fluid change and bleed, clutch adjustment, fix my temp gauge, and chase down some squeaks under my dash.

Going to take her to the tire shop this week, and probably do calipers, pads and rotors in a few weeks.

The guy who did my carb is a master of tuning and the truck runs beautifully. That HEI makes a world of difference.

I rebuilt my quadrajet and fought a fueling issue, fixed that by putting a holly red label electric pump in, AL around buying the wife a new car and going to drill.

Re: What did you get done 12/7/14

The injector was fine. I had to rebuild the throttle body but the damned thing runs good again. In particular, the short term problem that made me fix it was the leaking around the injector, but the long term issue I've been having was the throttle body base gasket was leaking making it run lean.
