installed new control arms on my 67. Original ones worn out. The right control arm does not have enough adjustment length to install the necessary shims. Frame looks ok. ?:

What do you mean by that? The stud holding the upper arm to the frame is too short? How many shims do you already have in there?

This has been going on for some time. I took the truck into an alignment shop, they recommended the new control arms, which I installed with the existing shims. Took it back to the shop, left one is ok, the right one runs out of stud length before sufficient shims can be installed to correct alignment. The shop has never seen this problem, nor I, so was just asking if anyone out there has had this issue. This is a rebuild from the frame up and I did not notice any issue with the frame.

How are the lower control arm bushings. They are hard to check because there is always spring pressure on them. Sometimes you can eye ball them & if they are worn bad you can see the cap is off center from the shaft.

Having done body 7 FRAME WORK FOR 52 YRS. I have seen this problem . It's not uncommon, a body shop with a frame rack can easily solve the problem. It is just a matter of tying down the truck and pulling the frame out on which ever side is in a little. Most of the time a chain can be attached to the upper control arm mount and pulled.GM vehicles were the worst about this.Might take a older old dude that has done this before.

Back in the day they made offset control arm shafts too

Is it possible that the arms are on the wrong side, meaning the left is on the right and vise versa? I've seen this happen several times on here also the wheels set back in the wheel well.
