Just by way of clarification: that's a SPID label.
SPID label is a service document; the build sheet defines the content while the vehicle is going down the assembly line. A typical build sheet is attached below. Now - regarding your SPID label: Flint built 1983 model year, LWB fleetside 2wd Chevy, Almond exterior and interior, tiny tires, 6 cylinder....sounds like a fleet or commerical build of some kind. They were supposed to be thrown away but often were left laying wherever they fell. That's why you often find them trapped in the seat springs, under the carpet etc

Re: Check out the options on this build sheet.
Is there a reliable online GM SPID decoder, or Vin Decoder?

Seats were built up in the "cushion room" due to fire concerns and installed in the cab on the trim line, before body drop. |

Oh, you - stop it.
(lol) Here's a pretty good VIN decoder: http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/VIN2.htm Those are the actual cards that we carried around in our pocket (along with our pocket protectors). I hadn't seen this link before but a quick google search reveals this RPO list: http://www.rpocodes.com/GM-RPO-codes...GthroughM.html K |
Re: Check out the options on this build sheet.
My build sheet is between the spring and foam on the seat, paper is old and crumbling thought it was best to leave it there for now.
