Gas tank vent
 

Does the vent have to be higher than the gas tank? The system on my 71 Jimmy consists of a new gas tank and new vent lines up to the gas filler. The line that would go to the front to the canister ends under the floor at the gas filler with an after market vent. Problem is it takes forever to fill the tank. Any input appreciated.
