Looks like a decent deal. Wonder if it is 350, 402 or what?

I think that's a great deal! He doesn't mention if it runs, but there's cut grass under it, so I'll assume it runs/drives. That metal is CLEAN! There doesn't appear to be any major rot or even any noticeable dents to fix. However, with as clean as it is, the area under the storage box still rotted out...
It's craigslist... he's probably only expecting $2500-3K That's a great starter truck. |

yes, a GREAT deal. Holy cow. 72 C20 Cheyenne Super Custom Camper with aux tank, tilt, a/c, AM/FM(!!)and a tool box Sha-wing. Especially if the AM/FM is original. Great original color combo also.
Body looks generally good with lots of surface rust - and the drip rail on the pax side looks like it could be a problem. Wow, what a great truck this would have been/could be - I think the price is decent, running or not. |

Nice to see one for sale by someone who's had it longer than a week :metal:
It will be back on craigslist next week by another "owner" for $7K :smoke: |
Re: CL 72 Cheyene Super 20 78k orig miles - $3995 (Nashville, TN.)
Some more details - spoke with the owner, Erich - seems like a very nice gent. He's owned since '78. Mileage is original as stated, same mileage on original motor. been parked about 10 yrs - his son overheated it (350) and he put new factory heads on it and has a new radiator for it. It is original factory AM/FM and all other options noted (SPID inbound, hopefully). Tool box lower lip very rusted. He also has a cherry (non-toolbox) bed he'd sell with this truck for $500-$1K-ish. The rust I kinda thought I saw in the A-pillar drip rail is actually rusty, so asked for closer pics. Very nice truck restored - but I think the majority of the price will be in paying for what this was and what it will become, not what it "is" right now - a non-running C20. But - the potential for this thing is great, it's very original (something that seems to be harder and harder to find at this option level), and a gem when it's restored. So, to me, the price, which is probably negotiable, is about right for this nice old truck. Anyhoo, will share the SPID when/if he sends.
