97 Silverado key fob question
I have a 97silverado,and found the original bill of sale which said that one option the truck has,I also have an old keyless fob ,but how do I know if it will work

You can go to your local GM dealer and they can check the fob and also tell you if the part number on the back is correct for your truck. Have you tried it to see if it works ??

Check Ebay. You can search the FCCID or part number on back of fob to see if it matches truck, and you can search year/make/model to find correct part no for truck. I just dumped several fobs that don't fit anything I own.
