found a fiberglass hood
 

stopped by a junkyard about 15 miles from work and they had this covering an engine on a 2nd gen Camaro. I knew from the shape that it would fit a 73-80 truck. I think it`s called a hickey type hood.

That definitley looks like a hickey hood low profile hood but I only think they were available for blazers/jimmys

You didn't happen to see if there was a manufacturers label on that white topper on the other truck did you? I've been trying to figure out who made mine which looks like that one.

Unlimited or up22 still makes these hoods...don't assume they are all hickeys

It looks like it has vents in it. I think they were Hooker made. I almost bought a complete parts Blazer that had a hood on it like this. I was set on owning a Hickey one though.
