tranny swap ?
 

So i have a 95 1500 ext cab 2wd with 350 and nv3500 5spd im working on having to put my 4th nv3500 in my truck and dont really want to whats my options for switching in an auto ive tried to search some stuff but everyone goes the oppist from auto to stick not stick to,auto any info would be greatly appreciate

The 4L60 is no stronger then a 3500. How exactly do you keep breaking them?

The previous owner changed one not sure y when i bought it got it home he used wrong fluid so it ate itself on the way to my house when i drained it quarter size chunks came out so i swapped in another and now third gear is a ***** to go in with out grinding

Someone said at one time that the spline on a NV 3500 are the same as the 700r4/ Not sure of what year they changed ( 4L60,& 700r4 )this because they use to be course splines:chevy: on the Manuel and fine on the automatics ( Output Shaft )??/ But the biggest problem seams to live in the computer :uhmk:( Gauges, ECM , ECT. ) My best guess is to check with a transmission specialist;) as to year and distinctions between swaps and my guess is your going to have to hunt for one of those also ( transmission specialist ) :mm:??/ For one that knows what he's talking about ??/ I was looking in to the possibilities of going with the NV 4500 beefier ??/ Never got to find a source on the gear ratios as to 1st gear being synced or if it was Low low like some of the earlier versions ??/
