Steering gear box

I would like to find out if there is any way make our trucks make a sharper turn than it does stock. Turning some places you have to back up and then try again. Any one know of how this can be done? Is it the gear box that stops you from making tighter turns? Thanks

You need to get down on the ground, and have someone turn the wheels all the way over. Look for the bump stop contacting the spindle. You can modify it, but it will lead to binding of steering linkage, wheels contacting the control arms, etc. Go see...

Hes right. I cut my steer stops for my baggged truck and my steer linkage would pop and bind from overtirning

Our trucks turn a lot better than newer extended cab trucks. Our trucks feel like Jeeps compared to those big tanks.

Or you can have your steering box rebuild in a quicker ratio.
