Under dash leak
 

Other than the windshield seal, Where should I be looking for water to enter under the dash. I see water trickling down the kick panels on both sides after it rains.

Not sure if 67 is different than a 65 but on mine inside the wheel well where the kick panel meets the cowl there is a seam with seam sealer.
Well after 50 years the sealer dries up and eighter falls off or shrinks.
Mine was leaking there and re-applied more sealer and stopped the leak.
I did mine with the fender on but would be alot easier with it off.
If the fender is on be prepared to get messy fingers as you try to work the sealer into the seam.
I removed the cowl extension and ran the hose down the seam.
Had to do it a few times till I got it all sealed.
I am sure there is other areas that leak but that one worked for me.

You might seal/tape a piece of visqueen (roll plastic) over the windshield and run a garden hose over it just to eliminate the windshield. Just be sure to use a painters type tape that won't leave a residue. I'd probably even let the plastic run over the top and back of the cab just to be sure it's 100% sealed on the roof.

Also, are you seeing it when the truck is setting/parked or after it's been driven in a rain?

It leaks sitting or moving.

I pulled the glovebox and the insulation out of the way and guess what I found.
A leak around the windshield seal. Looks like I will be pulling the windshield and replacing the gasket. Pray that I do not find hidden rust. There is no bubbling around the seal that is why I thought it was good.

First a couple of questions;

1, How / where do I unplug the antenna?

2, Who sells the best gasket / seal?

I'd seriously consider having a glass shop do it. That way you'd have a warranty against leaks.

What's the fun in that?? I have pulled windshields like this before. It is really easy. Just not sure about the antenna connection. Plus if there is any rust I want to be able to correct that.

No leaks :lol: Just my age showing I guess. Cutting an old glass out with intentions of replacing gasket isn't much issue, reinstalling can be a PITA. A good glass guy can have it in before a less experienced guy can run outta cuss words.

Antenna lead should just plug into the back/side of the radio, should be able to see/feel it under the dash.
