Drop question??

I need input. I have a 69 GMC fleetside LWB with the coil suspension. I want to drop the rear 4". I was talking to one person and he was saying that 4" is too much to drop with coils, there is not enough suspension travel left. He said that the best combo is 3" springs and 1" blocks. Does anybody here agree disagree???

I need to find out ASAP so I can finally start on the stance of the truck.

You can easily drop one six inches in the rear with just lowered coils. A 4 inch drop coil will suit you fine. No problems with poor ride or bottoming.

Try ECE clicky :burnout:

Thanks for the input, for the amount of times I will be driving the truck I think I will just go with 4" springs and shocks, and maybe later get the shock relocators if I find I need it.

As for the link, I have checked the site before, but I am trying to get parts close to here so I don't have to pay duty.
A set of springs runs about 99$ US, where as around here they run about 300$ a set.

The one guy that suggested I use 1" blocks and 3" springs sells them and they are 225$ a set. The ones I got quoted for 300$ are belltech springs and unfortunately they only deal with belltech, but the guy that works there I went to high school with so I would like to give them the business. I have another call to make tomorrow and see what another guys price is.

for my 4" drop should I also be looking at getting an adjustable panhard bar???
