Drip rail removal?

I recently painted my 79 C-10 and in doing so, I removed the drip rails. Looks kinda goofy putting them back on now that the truck looks clean. Where does the water go that enters those holes? My original thought was to try and plug the holes but I've been in the truck after a hard rain and can't see where any of that water could possibly be going.

Why didn't you fill the holes when you did the bodywork?

the water will go into the body between the roof and inner roof down the a and b pillars and into the cab corners floors and down into the area behind the kick panels.. you should have welded hem up and filled if you wanted to leave them off the truck, but you will also get water leaking around the door top without them if the door is the slightest bit off. I put mine back I think its makes the truck look a little nicer but hey its all a matter of opinion

I had originally planned to put them back on. Thanks, I'll try to get the holes filled somehow if I don't put them back on.

Mine are color matched blend in really well. In the meantime I would put a drop of silicone in those hole.

Color matching might actually work. Thanks.
