Door seal channel rot / rust
Every one of these truck I have seen including my own have rust under the door seal at the threshold. I realized why when I was trying to find the leak on my windshield.
The water runs from the top of the door behind the seal and settles at the bottom because it has no where to drain. Has anyone ever considered drilling a couple of holes under the seal to allow the water to drain? http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...pske0afdlp.jpg |

Re: Door seal channel rot / rust
problem with drilling holes is that the water will then run into the rocker panel and rot that out.. or the floorboard .. just gotta keep eyes on it and fix little issues before they become BIG issues

there is a hole in your picture, in the lip that stands up and the seal pinches on. thats what drains it. not real good, but it does work. if your winshield is sealed it shouldn't get water there anyhow, unless you leave the window down or spill your coffee!
