What years for electronic speedometer?
I'm planning on a 4.8 swap before too long, so my mechanical speedometer won't work.
What year electronic speedometers work? Do I need to do anything strange to remove the gauge cluster, or is it all simple? Thanks for any help. |

I think its 88-91 but not 100% sure on the years. You remove the gauge cluster just like any truck same body style its not hard.

Re: What years for electronic speedometer?
90 and 91. Gauge cluster is also different from the 89 and earlier, which allowed the electronic speedo to fit into the cluster spot.

Re: What years for electronic speedometer?
The 89-91 has a different grill and headlights then the older ones which should help to spot one in the junkyard.Or become a supporting member and put a add in the want to buy and let someone else do the leg work for you.
