Using a burb back seat for a front seat?

I am sure it had been asked before. Can you swap out mount brackets to bolt up to factory holes? My phone wont let me use the search box for this question.

Those are 60/40 (or maybe more like 70/30) split folding, right? I have a set and they don't look like they'd be easy to make work. On the other hand, the non-folding burb front seat has different brackets but they're easy to bend so they work.

I was thinking they had a full second seat.

Well.... because my thought is that if they were a full bench the same size a front bench maybe they could be interchanged. Most suburban usually still have pretty nice fabric still and a nice front bench is hard to come by unless recovering it. So if that thought were to be correct then why not?

The answer is no. The rear seats on the burbs are completely different than rear seats in crews and front seats in burbs and crews. They share no parts in common. You can, however, use a suburban/crew cab front seat in a standard cab by swapping out the brackets.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Too bad the rear seats won't interchange. You can usually find a pretty nice rear seat.

For my short bed I did get a set of buckets out of a suburban for it.

For the front seats, if you don't have the brackets you can also bend the rear mounts on the seats. It took me a couple minutes with a crescent wrench. At least I think that's what my seat is from...

Yup! Been there done that! Put a burb front seat into a standard cab pickup. Bent the rear tabs up and had to slot the holes a little, but thats it.

This is a comparison of a front and rear burb seat. The back seat area floor board is flat. Unlike the humped floor boards in a crew/standard cab pickup.

I never really paid real close attention to the back seats in them. It was just a thought. You don't know if you don't ask. Lol. I learn something more about these square's all the time. Thanks.

I am searching for a rear Suburban seat to use the fabric to cover my front buckets. Thinking like rs74 that the rear seats are almost always in good condition and my front buckets are toast.
