rear end question
So 5x5 lug wheels are not the easiest to find. Going 6 lug would open up the options a lot. Anybody swapped in a complete late model rear end under a square body. That would get me rear disc brakes and 6 lug in one shot. Mcgaughys makes a BBK tthat has 6 lug rotors instead of 5 lug.... and I need new everything up front aanyway.

Re: rear end question
Doesn't even begin to fit. Too wide and perches in the wrong place.
1/2 ton 4x4 axles are 6 bolt and complete axles, or just shafts, swap. 88 ups are higher spline count. Board memebers sell brackets for several disc brake options. All that's needed in the front ar the 6 lug rotors, available several places. |
Re: rear end question
5x5 wheels are everywhere,Are you looking for oem or aftermarket wheels?

Re: rear end question
Aftermarket wheels. I have some now but 6 lug are just more plentiful with more style options.

Re: rear end question
I put a heavy half floating rear like 9.5 ring gear think out of a 95 in my 90 jimmy width was fine just had to reweld spring pads had larger studs. still fit wheels but still drum brake. Rear discs are not that great. the brake heads in front everthing falls in them going forward instead being knocked of the bottom like fronts.

Re: rear end question
6999 of them are probably not my style. Like I said, 6 lug has more options. I may or may not do it.... just kicking ideas around
