New 75 tailgate band?
 

any idea where I can get one of these for a 75 blazer with hard top (ie window in tailgate). LMC seems to have them from 81 onwards or from earlier only for truck tailgates. I got one from pick n pull but it has a couple of nicks n dings, so I figured that if I'm getting the outside painted properly i should go the extra and get a new band.

Those aren't reproduced yet. If you can find a straight one you can polish it, but short of that you can either run the 81-up band or leave it off. I've about talked myself into leaving it off.

so the 1981 or later band does fit correctly then in terms of sizing and width of gate and depth and attachment points.

My buddy , put my 74 hand crank , into a 87 K5 tailgate . Works good

I am not sure if the attachment points are the same but it does fit.
