Poly Under Frame Fuel Tank
Hi all, have a question about using a under frame poly fuel tank. have one a got at a good price a awhile back. Have heard some say that poly tanks weren't a good choice to use. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this. This would be a used as driver only.
Thanks Eddie :chevy::mm::metal: |
Re: Poly Under Frame Fuel Tank
I would think it would be ok if you had a box built under it for protection kind of like a bladder cell

No rusty gas tank! Make a shield or find one off a later model car or truck

Re: Poly Under Frame Fuel Tank
I did that in my '68. Never going to rust! All new vehicles from about the 2000 year era and newer have poly tanks.

Re: Poly Under Frame Fuel Tank
Mines going strong after 15 years. I don't daily it but have put a lot of miles on it. I don't have to change fuel filters every 300-400 miles like I did with the steel one. And it don't leak like the steel one either.
