83 last year of floor dimmer switch?
 

Is that correct? I thought I was told 83 was either the last year of the floor dimmer switch or the first year without. Anything else different on 83's? Learning something new everyday.

Last year for floor dimmer and dash wiper switch. I remember asking a salesman when the '84's came out how he could tell the difference beteen the two on the lot. He said the wiper arms were silver on the '83 and black on the '84.

The silver/black might have more to do with trim levels than year.My 85K25,86K20 & 87 c15 all have silver levers.

Yes, Rubble, I agree. I was refering to the windshield wiper arms that hold the wiper blades. You always see them in black and '83 and prior were silver '84 up are black. It also seems to me I see less '83's than any other of the '81 up squares.

My 90 suburban has a floor mounted dimmer switch.... It switch's my horn from factory "beep beep, excuse me kind sir, but could you please move aside?" to my train horns that COMMAND YOU TO WAKE THE F UP!!!!
